Message it's the same stuff that is on my down pipes and turbo turbine housings done by HPC. The guy at hpc says they do a lot of oil pans like this to extract heat when there is moving air by the oil pan. The inside teflon type coating I guess work like teflon coating on cooking wear. Like water on waxed surface how it runs off easier.
